Teacher Sparks St. Leonard's Idle Free Project

When Jennifer Ruxer contacted KAIRE about a project to make St. Leonard Parish School Idle Free, she was already brimming with great ideas. Here's an example of how she put her kindergartners to work to help send home the message to reduce idling around the school and in the community.

Jennifer used the letter template in the KAIRE School Toolkit, but she went one step further. Her kindergarten class got busy with crayons and pencils and added an Idle Free poster to the back of each letter. The colorful message went home in a packet that included KAIRE brochures and a pledge card for parents to sign.

Congrats to Our Bike Prize Winner!

Congratulations to Hayden, who won one of two new Schwinn bikes at the Falls of the Ohio Earth Day Celebration! Don D., who brought along a big group of family members to the Festival, was the winner of the adult bicycle. KAIRE was a proud sponsor of the event, which featured earth-friendly activities, face painting, kite flying, food, live music and family fun.
